AlgaEnergy chairs the ‘European Biostimulants Interactive Summit 2019’

AlgaEnergy has actively participated in the last Edition of the ‘European Biostimulants Interactive Summit 2019’, event organized by the prestigious editorial group ACI International, which was chaired and sponsored by AlgaEnergy for the third time in a row.
Around 200 professionals from the biostimulants sector were able to discover the most recent developments in the field, as well as AlgaEnergy’s value proposition for a more sustainable agriculture: the innovative and effective microalgae-based agricultural biostimulants, AgriAlgae®. In just three editions this event has consolidated itself as one of the most important events in the European biostimulants industry, continent that consolidates over 40% of the global market.
A visit that did not leave anyone indifferent
Within the framework of this congress, AlgaEnergy organized an exclusive visit to its facilities on the day before the event. After welcoming the attendees at its headquarters, a delegation of around 30 delegates visited the Technological Microalgal Experimentation Platform (PTEM). The attendees discovered the technology that AlgaEnergy has developed for the cultivation of microalgae, the most advanced worldwide, and the R&D activities that the company is carrying out in this plant. Not in vain, the PTEM is possibly the R&D’s most powerful and versatile private tool within the international arena of microalgal biotechnology.
After the lunch break, the agenda of the day concluded with a visit to one of the farms owned by the Madrid Institute for Rural Research and Development, Agricultural and Food (IMIDRA). The attendees discovered the research activities and the projects that the center is developing. This prestigious R&D center is carrying out some of the independent trails that are demonstrating the effectiveness of AgriAlgae® on crops such as tomato, pepper and melon, compared to other biostimulant products derived from animal based amino acids and from seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum).
